The Act of Painting
The man is a violent sword,
an aggravated steel cauldron. the lion gleers to his left.
he finds nothing. he then disappears as paint splatters the walls like razors.
the orange and carmine reds splash and the walls scream for more.
this art, yours, is a violent femme… it is a dream that only words can hear.
it is just that, a silent whisper from a mountain of the damned.
i will meet you there, somewhere, where the gods speak as the earth laughs.
somewhere along the horizon where things get hazy and disoriented,
and emotions spill like black and white photographs from your youth.
i will meet you, somewhere along the horizon,
and we will destroy the world together,
then glue it back as one.

Tristan is a self-taught painter who has always striven to balance an honest look at physicality with an exploration of psychology through events and people in his life. His superlative artistic goal is to produce work which touches the psyche of people through the contours of the human body in the medium of acrylic paint.
