lost
i fell into the sky,
into my subconscious,
where the grass grows
tall and coarsely crafted
wooden steps curl
along the neck of this mountain,
paving the path ahead
like railroad tracks
in some displaced Jurassic period.
the vanguard, leading the future for
these new earthbound children—
the indigenous inhabitants
quarry on the other side
of the veil.
the traveling gypsy soul
sheds like a matryoshka doll
in this panoramic moment that points
predominately ahead. thoughts
of the traveler are patient enough
to exhibit controlled flatline
for time ahead and time prior
in fragments of clock ticks
and buoyancies of presence.
up and up, the climb
towards a smokestack heaven
amongst the wind’s whistled weave
between mountains folded into one another
in horizon’s unfiltered throe.
the angel watches us from below
pretending, as a cloud
or an albino parrot,
in the beltless sky.
i find myself trying
hard not to allow the
knotted thought processes
to derange this offering
of sky and creation…
i allow it
i allow it to be
i allow (it to be) myself in this moment,
to relate, not only to my
fellow queen, but the godmother
of my child and the child
of my heart.
