Vika Bis // isn’t it marvelous?

isn’t it marvelous?

i can't help but want to forget
go on forgetting the forgotten
i keep replaying these scenes in my head
and they get more and more painful on each rerun
and people wonder why something
like death was such a necessary invention in this construct
what a pure erase mechanic
everything needs to be forgotten
or at least unfastened from the idea of everlasting
personality attachment
time does not heal all
because with corporeal time
new things occur and old things
though dried out like a desert creek
still leave imprints and embed themselves
like unwanted guests
blood suckers that feed on you
and fatten in your slumber

oh the marvelous end
as i watch the faces toggle between
sex and sleep
creating diagrams in their head
on which is more vital
to perpetuate their genus
i vote neither
i sit and wait
like a snake or a mouse
or some other confused animal
or arbitrary thing that leads to nowhere
and speaks to no one
i suppose fully deciding yourself upon anything
takes a level of commitment i've never had
i've always admired it
though always found it futile beyond its initial exploration
natured in the world of modern survival
there's nothing more dead than that

sex is not a proliferating pleasure it's a blood sport
rigged for the gladiator’s demise
mountains of cowards piled on one
another like cattle stripped of their humanity
the rancher's even more so
as the birds watch from above
conducting their next viral experiment with the pigs
sleep is the only thing that could reconcile this act of futility
dreams like litters of puppies with
no mother to suckle on
the subconscious depth of not knowing yet doing
unwinding the chaos to heal the amputee

string me out to dry
and i'll fill your creek full of babies
we can live a long and happy life together
like butterflies floating along
the rim of the gulf
not wondering where they will land
just flapping their wings until they are
meaninglessly swallowed and forgotten
by the same thing that spit them out
fumbling and yearning for home

Contemporary Artist, Saint-Petersburg

My creative activity includes drawing and painting using various kinds of materials. I believe that understanding art is reinforced by interdisciplinary practice, where one act follows another. Having an academic education, I cannot combine only the traditional vision scheme of contemporary art, only the visual effect. I like to distort the shape with tactile sensations using fabric. To add volume and hide the visual part under the onslaught of matter so that my viewer can catch and even probe the hidden images. I see this opposition of nature and order in visualizing natural and artificial forms. Study of nature and order. Research is a great goal. A similar great goal is to transform prosaic space into charged space. Energized by a creator’s energy who rewards his exploration. He can only show the feelings that are hidden in the physiological shell of the living. To pull out all the vices and vulnerabilities of the mind, understanding and accepting a majestic number of souls in one person. This is only the result of a journey and exploration of the depths of the spiritual in their physiology, and how I like to give different names to all states. This is self-talk. The ritual of cognition of thought. And accepting disorder gives peace. I can only show you my feelings, but at the same time, hide under the matter so that you find yours in them.
